I invite you to join me in my ongoing donation to We Wield the Hammer! This nonprofit organization is based here in Oakland, California and teaches metalsmithing skills to women of African descent.
What is We Wield the Hammer?
We Wield the Hammer exists to identify, train, track, and support young women of African descent who might not otherwise choose a career as a metalsmith. The project, which began in 2019, introduces students to the basics of creating with metal, basic design, and completion of projects.
